Relation between waves, energy and matter:
Matter is a physical substance
that occupies space and possesses rest mass and volume.
Energy is the
quantitative property
of a material that is transferred from one object to another in order to perform work or to release heat.
And Wave is the disturbance of one or more fields in such a way that field values oscillate repeatedly about a stable equilibrium.
We can also say a wave is something that travels through space or matter.
Waves need matter to travel
through it. Energy is needed for a matter to change.
The relation between the three is that waves are needed to carry energy that is produced by matter.
