What is the "miracle" in Bede's "Caedmon's Hymn"? A. Caedmon witnesses the birth of Christ. B. Caedmon turns water into wine. C. The abbess sees an apparition of the Virgin Mary. D. Caedmon gets the gift of song and poetry.

Respuesta :

I think the answer is letter D. He was gifted with poetry and song. I think this is the answer because Caedmon was an ordinary cowherd. He tends to the animals in the nearby monastery. It was then one night that he had dreamt of an angel, from there he started to learn poetry and songs. Caedmon has no knowledge about this prior the dream. All he knew were things about farm life. He becomes a changed man after that dream, he had learned to pray and write poems about God and his existence.
