Hi!
Theoretically we know that there needs to be a total of 34 muffins so that each student gets two.
So 34-5(already baked) gives us 29
X has to be 29
Algebraically you would solve it like this (x+5)/17= 2
the numerator equals to the 34 and you divide by the 17 to get the two muffins per student.
