The square and the triangle have equal perimeters. (There is a picture of a square with one side shown as x-5 and there is a picture of a triangle with one side shown as 12 and the other two sides as x)

4x - 20 = 12 + 2x
4x - 2x = 12 + 20
2x = 32
x = 16

square's p = 4(x-5) = 4(16-5) = 4(11) = 44

triangle's p = 12+2x = 12+2(16) = 12+32 = 44

square's p = triangle's p ( correct )
