A client reports she has lactose intolerance and questions the nurse about alternative sources of calcium. what options can be provided by the nurse?

Respuesta :

The nurse may suggest that the client eats calcium-fortified foods, such as soy products that include tofu, soy nuts or soy milk. Almonds and some beans, such as kidney beans, white beans, chickpeas and pinto beans are also a good source of calcium for people who are lactose intolerant.
