I'm pretty sure you need to solve for x. Let's do it:
[tex] \frac{1}{x} = \frac{6}{x} +9[/tex]

Multiply both sides by x:
[tex]1 = 6+9x[/tex]

Solve for x:
[tex]-5=9x[/tex]
[tex]x = -\frac{5}{9} [/tex]

That's your answer!
1/x = 6/x+9
6x = x + 9
5x = 9
x = 9/5
