He is referring to gay pride, because internalized racism is solely referred to people of color or ethnic groups. In this case, it's sexuality and orientation so that won't work with internalized racism :)
Internalized racism is the personal conscious or subconscious acceptance of the dominant society's racist views. While gay pride is when someone is out and proud of who they are.
